Ladies, would you characterize a 26 year old male who is 6'2, 188 lbs considered skinny?

Answer:
Well, your BMI is 24.1 which is normal, but towards the higher end, so, no, you're not considered skinny.
No. My husband is 6'2" at about 175. He is thin, but not skinny.
Yeah, that's pretty thinOr not, I really don't know
it depends on your build. but i think you could gain a little more
no that sounds fine.
No, I think you should lose couple of pounds.
that,s easy it,s yes.
Characterize. Okay, let's see if I know what this means. You're tall and lean, probably athletic, but do not have good muscle tone, so people call you skinny. You're probably still strong as hell... and guess what, if you look anything like Eric Foreman off of That 70's Show, you'll probably wind up with the hott girl like Donna next door. Looks are nothing. And your height is a definite plus, just find a girl who is not insecure about her weight and you'll be quite alright.
No. I would call it lanky. I'll bet you really look good in your clothes. Take up a sport like swimming to define your muscles a little.
average is 149- 195although too skinny for my taste , perfect for your height

Ladies, i need advice on exercise and products?

okay, im 18 and i went on the atkins diet and now i have saging breasts. which is scaring me cause im only 18. i want to know if theres anything i can do to get the perkiness back. im willing to gain weight if it will help. or buy any lotion or cream that will help make my skin firmer. ive tried exercising for over a month now and i havent seen any results..actually i think they've gotten smaller. i really need help.
Answer:
While a few recent studies have noted that high-protein, carbohydrate-restricted diets facilitate modest short-term weight loss,1-3 no studies to date have investigated the long-term health consequences of consuming such diets for weight-loss purposes. Studies of general populations consuming diets high in fat, particularly saturated fat (low-carbohydrate diets have not been studied specifically) have shown increased risk of cancer,4-6 diabetes,7 and heart disease.7 Mixed diets high in animal protein have been shown to increase the risk of kidney problems,8,9 osteoporosis,10,11 and some types of cancer.12,13 These studies raise concerns as to whether low-carbohydrate diets, which are typically high in saturated fat and animal protein, might pose the same risks. In addition, because fiber is found only in plant foods, and high-protein, high-fat, carbohydrate-restricted diets tend to be low in plant foods, these diets are also typically low in fiber. In studies of general populations, low fiber intake is associated with increased risk of colon cancer and other malignancies,4 heart disease,7 diabetes,14,15 and constipation.16 Again, these studies raise the question as to whether similar problems occur in low-carbohydrate dieters. Some high-protein, very-low-carbohydrate, weight-loss diets are designed to induce ketosis. When carbohydrate intake or utilization is insufficient to provide glucose to the cells that rely on it as an energy source, ketone bodies are formed from fatty acids. An increase in circulating ketones can disturb the body鈥檚 acid-base balance, causing metabolic acidosis. Evidence suggests that even mild acidosis can have potentially deleterious consequences over the long run, including low blood phosphate levels, resorption of calcium from bone, increased risk of osteoporosis, and an increased propensity to form kidney stones. 17 These findings raise concerns that high-protein, high-fat, low-fiber, carbohydrate-restricted diets used for prolonged periods may increase the risk of health problems, despite the short-term weight loss that may accompany their use. Herein, we summarize the reports of individuals who have experienced health problems while on a high-protein, high-fat, carbohydrate-restricted diet and have offered their information through an online registry (www.AtkinsDietAlert.org/regis... Scientific studies show that low-carbohydrate diets raise cholesterol levels in a considerable number of individuals, sometimes to a dramatic degree. These diets also typically accelerate calcium losses and have led major health organizations to raise important questions about their possible contribution to heart problems, kidney abnormalities, osteoporosis, and other health problems.
I would definitely stop exercising for the time being. My boyfriend always gets mad at me for exercising because he says that the first thing to go is your breasts %26 your butt. I would ask your doctor, or talk to someone who's gone on the atkins diet also.

Ladies- Are you a Curve's member?

If so, how is it working for you? Would you recommend this fitness program to other women?
Answer:
I was a Curves member and it worked well with my schedule as a mom. I lost a considerable amount of weight but after a while I hit a plateau that I couldn't break because of the lack of diversity at Curves. I joined a "regular" gym and within a week I started loosing again.
My sister used to work at curves for woman, I asked her what she thought of it, and she said to be completely honest, she don't recommend it. It is good for older woman she said, but if you are younger there are much better alternatives then curves. Good luck!
Nah, not for me. I go to the YMCA cuz there is more i can do. I can go swimming, exercise...go in the gym and play basketball...there is all kinds of things.
Im not a curves member...but i would rather be a YMCA member, not a curves member. I just have different strong opinions.
I've been a Curves member for almost 4 years now. I am stronger, I have more muscle tone and a LOT more energy! I was always one to avoid exercise at all cost (I hate it!) but I LOVE my Curves workout! But everyone is different...they do run specials where you can try it out for free...give it a test drive %26 see if you like it.
i was a member for 1 year. i lost 83 pounds. i went 3 times a week. walked 3 miles on the days i didn't go. stopped eating bread, fried food and potatoes. added more raw fruit and veggies to my diet. its a comfortable atmosphere. all women ..so you get to talk girl talk. you don't have to worry about men looking at your extra poundage.all the ladies are there to loose weight. they try to help each other. i would recommend it. you have to stick with it and diet too.

LACK OF MOTIVATION to workout...?

I am struggling to find motivation to workout. Someone please help me! How do you all keep motivated to workout/run? I used to be in great physical shape, now I'm just a few pounds over what I want, but more importanty I'm uncomfortable with how ineffective my body is now! I just want to get back into shape, but I'm struggling with the daily motivation part... how do you do it!? I am motivated to get into shape, big picture. but I am struggling with the motivation for the day-to-day actual workout...PS- I'm a 23 y/o female
Answer:
It helps me to try to look forward to working out all day. When you get up, think about what you need to do that day, and mentally schedule a time for yourself to workout. Keep picturing yourself working out at that time. And imagine yourself doing what you're going to be doing, running or watever it is. Just keep thinking about it when you have a free second.
Also, if you are having a tough workout week, try buying a new pair of workout shoes, or pants, or shirt, or fantasize about how hott you'll look if you keep working out.
Try to mix up your workout every couple weeks to keep it exciting. Try weights for a couple weeks, then a mix of wieghts and running, then a mix of running and skiing, ETC.
I hope that helps you!
It's easy to lose motivation. Join your local Family Y. If you like to read, tell yourself that you can only read as your riding a bike at the gym. Listen to fast music while you do the elliptical. Walk...I promise the more you do the better it gets. And...keep telling yourself, "Being here makes me stronger!" I'm a fiend for self power and that usually keeps me going.

Know of any groups that I can get in contact with that teach you about holistic health?

For a long while I have been trying to practice eating a whole food diet. I would like to be in touch with others doing the same for support reasons and get this into my life properly.
Answer:
hmmm....no
I do not know anything about holistic approach but however the following yogic exercises will do the job for you without fail.:-
1. Arathamathesendrasan (reduces the folds on the side)
2. bhujangasan ( reduces the fat %26 creases on the back)
3. halasan ( flexes the muscles %26 reduces the creases)
4. dhanurasan ( flexes the muscles %26 reduces the creases)
5. sarvangasan ( controls the whole body to perfection)
6. mathsyasan ( increases the chest %26 reduces the stomach)
7. nauli kriya ( the best for stomach)
8. mayurasan ( very difficult but best for the belly )
9. bhastrika pranayanam ( breathing exercise, very best and must as this controls BP, prevent lung diseases, increases the brain power, will never get cough or cold and controls your anger and other violent emotions, brings in crimson complextion to the face etc, etc)
10. sevasan. ( This is the last exercise and this removes all the stress and strain of all the above exercises )Do all these exercises every day in the morning before breakfast and after nature calls because both your stomach %26 intestines should be empty while you do this . Do it regularly for 1 month with confidence and see the magic.
type in holistic on the internet and ask for chats, I am sure you will find what you need

Kinda embarassing/gross... but oh welll... about chaffing/sores....from exercise?

Okay well this is embarassing but I am going to ask anywayI exercise daily like cardio, stuff that makes me sweat and anyway sometimes (like today lol) i got like.. this chaffing rash between my bum cheeks and it hurts LOL umm yes what can I do for this ? and is this normal?I'm not overweight or obese or anything and my bum doesnt have lots of excess fat or anything on itso yes.. thanks in advance lol
Answer:
Petroleum jelly works well. If you can get your hands on it..."Bag Balm" is even better. I know its a weird name, but it is great.
using a stick anti-persperant helps - you might write on the outside of one "bum only" so you don't use it under your arms or buy a different brand for your bum than you use under your arms - hope it helps
My boyfriend gets the same thing, especially when it's hot outside. Try putting baby powder back there BEFORE you work out.
I have carpet burns on my coxics (sp?) from doing sit-ups! Maybe some KY jelly will help your bum if you apply it before exercise!
You can use baby powder or corn starch.

KimKin's (Kimmer) Low-Carb Diet..?

I know this is a stretch but...has anyone tried this diet? Any success? Do you really lose weight as fast as they claim? What do you eat? What can't you eat? I need DETAILS....
Answer:
You can Lose 9 lbs every 11 days after you know these facts:Low Fat Foods DON'T WORK.........
You cannot lose weight using Low Fat Diets. Low fat foods have been popular for more than 15 years, but yet our society is getting more overweight as each year passes. This fact alone should tell you that eating a purely low fat menu is not the answer to losing weight.Low Calorie Diets DON'T WORK........
You won't lose weight using a Low Calorie Dieting Plan either. In fact, eating low calories is the worst thing that you can do to your body, since that will only slow down your body's fat burning engine and ruin all chances of losing weight (low calorie diets may allow a few pounds of weight loss for the first few days, but then after that all weight loss comes to a halt --- known as a dieting plateau). You can never get slim by starving yourself.Low Carb Plans DON'T WORK.......
You'll probably find it extremely difficult to get slim using a Low Carb Dieting Plan. Low carb diets have recently become popular over the last couple years, but the problem with low carb menus is that they are too strict and TOO HARD TO FOLLOW for average people. Low carb menus tend to rob your body of too much energy (carbohydrates) and make it nearly impossible to remain on the program for very long. This is why so many dieters find it difficult to follow a strict low carbohydrate menu.In fact, the food that you eat can either make you THIN or FAT!!!GO to the source below,,
It will tell you the whole secret of weight loss and tell you how to lose weight by eating Chicken,Fish Filet,Cottage Cheese, sandwich and so on.You can find weight loss is so easy and so happy!!!!!
omg! its the only diet ive ever done that works 4 me! i swear on my life if u do it you will lose like 5 pounds a week!! 20 carbs a day isnt many but its sooooo worth it. lots of meat cheese and salad! and if u drink alot of water it helps. i do it every year around this time to get ready for summer and i always will i hate to work out so its perfect for me

Ketosis.......?

does anyone know about ketosis?i used those keto-stick things a few months ago when I first started a low carb diet and I got really good results. Well I'm trying the diet again and for some reason I can't get anything to show on the ketosticks... does it take a while for ketosis to build in your body or am I just eating wrong?
Answer:
First, a simple explanation of the process: the carbohydrates you eat are converted to glucose, which is the body's primary source of energy. Whenever your intake of carbohydrates is limited to a certain range, for a long enough period of time, you reach a point where your body draws on its alternate energy system, fat stores, for fuel. This means the body burns fat and turns it into a source of fuel called ketones. (Ketones are produced whenever body fat is burned.)When you burn a larger amount of fat than is immediately needed for energy, the excess ketones are discarded in the urine. Being in ketosis means your body has burned a large amount of fat in response to the fact that it didn't have sufficient glucose available for energy needs. Dietary ketosis is among the most misunderstood concepts in nutrition because it is often confused with ketoacidosis, which is a life-threatening condition most often associated with uncontrolled insulin-deficient Type 1 diabetes. In the Type 1 diabetic, the absence of insulin leads to a toxic build-up of blood glucose and an extreme break-down of fat and muscle tissue. This condition doesn't occur in individuals who have even a small amount of insulin, whether from natural production or artificially administered.Dietary ketosis, however, is a natural adjustment to the body's reduced intake of carbohydrates as the body shifts its primary source of energy from carbohydrates to stored fat. The presence of insulin keeps ketone production in check so that a mild, beneficial ketosis is achieved. Blood glucose levels are stabilized within a normal range and there is no break-down of healthy muscle tissue. The most sensitive tests of ketosis ("NMR" and "blood ketone level") show that everyone is in some degree of ketosis every day, particularly after not eating overnight and after exercising. Ketosis is the body's survival system. It is not an abnormality nor does it present any medical danger, except to a Type I insulin-dependent diabetic. The body functions naturally and effectively while in a state of dietary ketosis. The Lean for Life Program is mildly ketotic and then, for only a very brief portion of the program. Some of the benefits many people experience while in a state of dietary ketosis for intentional weight loss may include rapid weight loss, decreased hunger and cravings, improved mood, increased energy and, as long as protein intake is adequate, protection of lean mass.On a different note: Recently, a great deal of attention has been paid to the benefits of ketosis to medical conditions other than obesity. For example, The Boston Globe ran a story on January 15, 1996 describing how ketosis has become an important therapy for childhood epilepsy. "No one is sure why it works, but the high fat/low protein/low carbohydrate diet seems to push the body into a starvation-like state called ketosis," says Dr. Gregory Holmes, director of the epilepsy program at Children's Hospital in Boston. "Patients are first 鈥榮tarved' for several days to deplete the body's stored sugar, then put on the diet, which contains almost no carbohydrates. Soon, because the body has no glucose for fuel, cells begin burning fat from the diet instead, which slows the frantic firing of brain cells." "Burning fats in the absence of glucose leads to the production of fatty molecules called ketone bodies. Most children stay on the diet for two years, he says. When it works right, seizures rarely return, even after normal diet is resumed. So far, there is no evidence that the diet raises the risk of atherosclerosis, heart disease or stroke." Linda Nebeling and Edith Lerner wrote of how ketogenic diets are also of proven benefit in certain childhood cancers in the Journal of the American Dietetic Association in June, 1995. "Certain tumors, particularly those that are poorly differentiated and slow growing and have a limited blood supply, are known to use glucose as the primary source of fuel. Shifting the prime substrate for energy metabolism in the host from glucose to ketone bodies by means of a ketogenic diet, thereby decreasing the availability of glucose to the tumor, could potentially inhibit tumor growth." "Urinary ketone levels can be monitored by the patient at home to track the level of ketosis and, thus, dietary compliance." "The diet is not flexible. Every gram of carbohydrate has to be counted because carbohydrate intake above 10% of total energy intake will knock the child out of ketosis. Among the patients I worked with in this study, their cancer was considered to be in remission, but their prognosis was not good. Because the ketogenic diet offered these children and their families a treatment option that was less invasive than their previous treatments, they found it appealing."
I have been using them for several weeks now. It took a week for it to even register at all, and another week to get to moderate amounts. I would say if you are watching your carb intake and not consuming more than 20g a day, you will get there. I think it takes longer for some than others.
do a internet search on Lyle McDonald
It can take 7 or more days of being on a low carb diet before Ketostix will display the presence of ketone bodies in your urine. They generally work best on your first urination after sleeping, as your urine during the day is diluted by the fluids that you drink. It takes several days because some of the carbohydrates that you had been eating prior to starting a low carb diet are still present in your body in the form of glycogen. Your body has to deplete its supply of glycogen, before your body enters a metabolic stage known as ketosis. In ketosis your liver converts stored body fat into fatty acids and ketone bodies. It is the presence of ketone bodies that the Ketostix are measuring, so have some patience. Oh, and drink plenty of water during the day. At least two liters each day.

Keep putting on weight?

I stopped smoling 16 weeks ago and i have been putting on around 2lbs per week since then. I have increased my activity levels and been eating more fruit %26 veg. Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening.Someone told me that smoking increases your metablolism is this correct? Very tempted to go back on the fags again if this weight increase continues.
Help anybody!
Answer:
no actually smoking normally keeps the weight on, maybe your body is just getting used to a healthy body, or if jsut started excersise just means starting to build up muscle instead of losing fat which is fine, it's just that muscle weights 3 times fat, measure ur success with a tape measure, waist, hips, top fo your arma nd thigh, orks for me
and good luck and stay non-smoking!!
try the new Paul mckenna book and CD it promises to help you quit smoking without putting weight on
Keep it up!! You are probably just substituting food for lack of cigarettes without realising and yes your metabolism will be different.. To lose weight why not try a diet from A1diet. I did. I lost a stone and a half in 6 weeks whilst I gave up smoking too!!
You are probably eating more calories than you burn. If you are exercising more and still eating healthy, then you must be eating around 3000-3500 calories a day.Just count your calories and make sure it is around 2000. At that, you shouldn't gain any weight.

Keep fit exercises for a guy who works in a office now.?

Answer:
First of all congratulations on your decision to help yourself. :)
I am a personal fitness trainer and enjoy helping people like you every day. :)Why does weight lifting or aerobic exercise reduce stress, the causes are preventable like aging?Exercise has been proven to relax the body and mind, burn fat, improve cardiovascular system, bring it more oxygen, reduce the chance of desiases, lower blood pressure and the list goes on.During the stress responce, many chemical reactions occur in the body preparing it to what is know is the "fight or flight effect".During prehistoric days as the cave dwellers, we had the opportunity to burn our stress when an animal attacked, as it was a means of survival. We were able to run away or fight the threat immediatelly. In today society we do not have to fight a bear or a tiger, so we don't have much an outlet readily at hand to burn off the stress or pent up negative emotions. Therefore, we carry it with us creating emotional and physical problems.
Exercise can help by providing an outlet for negative emotions such as worry, irritabillity, depression, hostility, anger, frustration and enxiety. You can dessipate these feelings by simply taking it out on the tennis court, by running, or punching a bag.Regular exercise provides the opportunity to manage the "fight or flight responce" and helps the body to return to a homeostasis or balanced state more quickly.Btw, same thing happens when you drink caffeinated drinks. Caffeine releases a high level of epinephrine (adrenaline) and to a lesser extend norepinephrine to your blood streem.
These hormones facilitate immediate physical reactons associated with a preparation for a violent muscular action. And most of the time what are we doing with a cup of coffee in the morning or a coke? We are in our cars driving to work or in our comfortable chairs in the office working with a paperwork... LOL So stay away from caffeine. :)
All these causes a lot of health and mental problems. So I do recommend you at least consider a moderate exercise. :)
Here are basic recommendations that you can start with.Food as Fuel:Going without breakfast because you planning a big dinner is as silly as filling up your car's gas tank after you finish the trip. Eat all of the foods that are good for you; whole grains, vegetables, fruites and lean proteins that you enjoy. Eat 6 small meals a day. Eating smaller meals more often will help to speed up your metabolism. Missing meals slow your metabolism. Also chew your food at least 30-40 times every time you take a bite. This will slow down your meal time and it easier to digest your food.Hunger can stress the body and trigger the release of cotisol, a hormone that encourages the storage of fat in the abdomen. To keep hunger under control, split your meals and snacks into 5 or 6 minimeals.Water - Drink TONS of water! If you add 2-3 liters of water to you diet you will feel better - PROMISE. You will have to use the restroom often, BUT you will loose weight, inches, feel less bloated, and retain less water IF you add water to your diet. Men who are overweight should add up to galon of water a day. Sip throgh out the day for best result.Your Body Needs Daily Exercise. The only way to be fit is to exercise on the regular basis: daily if possible. Some benefits of daily exercise are: you don't get sick as often, you have more energy and you sleep better. Exercise doesn't have to be structured.
If it is something you enjoy doing, you'll look forward to it. Walking or riding a bike with your children to school is fun. Even though it may only be a couple of miles, it is something.
If you aren't looking forward to your next workout, do something else. Walking is probably one of the best fat burning exercises you can do - just walk more!Have Realistic ExpectationsYou dont get out of shape over night so do not expect to loose weight over night neither. You can loose 10-12 pounds a month just by exercising more - without dieting! I promise you will feel better, get more fit and reach a higher level of satisfaction by starting slowly and expecting moderate weight and measurement losses.
Think within longer time frames, and a pound or two on a scale won't seam so important.Cross-TrainingEvery few weeks plan a change in your routine. Note only will your mind be more challenged, your body will have to adapt and the body will benefit from the new stimuli. The body is an amazing adaptable machine. It will begin to burn less fat as an energy source for the same activity if you don't change your programe regularly.Get 7 to 8 hours of shut-eye a nightChronic sleep deprivation can raise cortisol levels. It can also drive down levels of the appetite-control hormone leptin, making you feel hungry.Laugh moreHere's a tactic anyone can stick with! In a study conducted at Loma Linda University, men and women who watched a humorous video had 30% less cortisol in their blood not only while watching the tape but also up to 24 hours later. And at last, I do use natural fat burning pills before bodybuilding shows and many of my clients who would like to lose weight use it as well. These pills are not chemical formulas so it just will help to speed up your metabolism. Here is the link: http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.a...I hope this will help. Email me if you have any questions

Just wondering?

does lifting light weights stunt your growth?
Answer:
Not generally.
Lifting weights is actually the tearing down of muscles but when you rest them, they rebuild - so nutrition is key so that you have protein and other key vitamins to rebuild with.
uhhh no.
Nope!
yes when lifting weights u can damage your growth plates
lol.. eh no.
No, I'm six - one
What do you consider "light weights"? For the sake of this discussion I will assume you are referring to weights of no more than 10 lbs., in which case, lifting them will not stunt one's growth. Just as a side note on the subject...an important consideration about lifting weights should be the age of the person lifting. Children under the age of 8 should not lift weights over 15 pounds. It can indeed have a harmful impact on their development.

Just started a 9 day isagenix program.?

anyone has any tips or suggestions?
Answer:
Some things to get:Lot and Lots of Purified water - you can use a dispenser at home or bottles, this is better than a Brita.Unsalted dry-roasted almonds. Not necessarily cheap...Costco probably has the best deal.Organic lemons if you like it squeezed in your water.A couple of organic apples or celery, in case you need it on a cleanse day.Epsom salts, great for a hot bath...draws more toxins out.You can also have any herbal tea and even one cup of green tea per day during the cleanse.Good Luck!!
hmm i dk
Good luck. I think cleansing is a good thing and there are cheaper ways to do it. I tried it and well it did not last. I lost 9 lbs have kept it off but I do not think Isagenix was the sole reason.
HAving a shake every morning was ok . But for dinner wow !

hi.

Just a little question about frame size.?

Could you please tell me:Your age
Height
Measurement of your wrist in inchesI'm just trying to see how height affects the size of your frame.TIA : )
Answer:
25
5ft 6.5"
5.5"
Frame size is completely on body structure - bones, its genetic. People who have gone through puberty especially you can tell frame size quite easily (how their fingers touch around their wirst).Frame size and body structure effects height and measurements - not the other way around.
wow, who knows their wrist measurements!

Juicers; Will you get the same nutrition from a juicer as eating the fruit whole? Will you lose the fiber?

Will you lose the fiber by juicing?I would like to buy JACK LALANNE'S POWER JUICER, but don't want to if I'm going to sacrifice nutrician. Anybody know anything about this?
Answer:
I would just eat the fruit, juicers separate the solids from the juice. Like if you want carrot juice, you probably need 5 lbs of carrots to get a glass of juice. And not only that, you have to clean the damn thing after every use.Remember a long time ago, Everyone bought food processors....They are never used by the people who bought them, cause it took far longer to clean them than to just cut up the stuff by hand.Eat fruit, %26 veggies, Buy juice for drinking, Don't buy the machine.
You will get the benefit of fruit but you will lose the fibre. And remember there is alot of natural sugar in fruit so dont overdo the juice.
Always juice with the skins still on the fruit whenever possible. You get a ton of added nutrients that way!
Yes, you do lose a lot of teh fiber and go through a hell of a lot of produce to get that juice, but it is good for you...
Try Clown Juice.
one person recommended to leave the skin on the fruit and veggies. DO NOT EVER FOLLOW THIS ADVICE!
Nowerdays, any type of fruit, even organic fruit should be pealed before use. There are so many bad things on them, even after washing them extensively.

Jogging helps to lose weight?

does jogging helps to lose weight? if it does how long must i run? how many kilometres?how many times a week?
Answer:
You should jog for at least 20 minutes a day at a decent speed, probably about 3-5x a week. The more, the better. I just learned something about this in Biology class--apparently, your body doesn't start to access fat molecules for energy until after about 20 minutes of activity. Just exercise and make sure you watch what you eat and you will lose weight eventually.
If you control your appetite, yes.
Run until you feel slightly tired.
Once a day is good enough, even once in every 2 days is ok.
There's no strait answer to this. If when you jog you burn more calories then you eat, then you will lose fat. You might not lose weight because you gain muscle mass, but over time your body will become more toned and you will feel more healthy.
If you eat more calories than you burn in a day, over time you will gain fat. period.
read tips on weight loss, calorie burning and exercise programs on this site
To successfully lose weight, you must carry out

Jogging 30mins or walking for an hour?

which is better, jogging for 30 minutes straight or walking for twice as long? or does it amount to the same in the long run?
Answer:
it depends on how far you walk and how fast your run...think of it this way...you burn about 100 calories per mile, walking or running....if you run three miles in 30 minutes and walk two miles in an hour, than you burn tmore by running. You can cover more miles running so running is actually better, but walking very fast is good too.
Jog for an hour, just to be sure.
walking-after 15 minutes of excersice your body goes into survivor mode and saves all your fatit's better to work up all the muscles all over your body
i would for jogging 30 min everyday for weight loss...if thats what you want
The important thing is to get your heart rate into its target zone, otherwise you aren't doing very effective exercise.
personally i think that a longer fast walk is better. it's not so hard on your body.
i'd say walking for twice as long....
Jogging will burn more calories and provide cardio.
Walking is good too.
The important thing is to be consistent.
For sure walking. Isometrics for toning.
Whatever floats your boat or burns your fat
That really depends on how fast your walking or jogging. But their about the same in the long run for calories burned. If you run a 6mph (3 miles in 30 mins) and walk 4mph You'll burn about 10 calories more from walking than jogging.
If you run 7mph you'll burn about 40-45 more calories in 30 minutes.
Same thing. Generally, walking is safer re. wear and tear on knees, etc., particularly if you are older. But you have to have the time, or build up to it, and use something to keep yourself interested and at it. Some people recommend walking or jogging with a companion. If you walk, walk at a level where you can just continue a bit of a conversation 鈥?if you are breathless, you're walking too much, if you find the conversation is dominant over the walking (i.e., you get more absorbed in talking, then you should speed up a bit).I've also read that the exercise effect is achieved if you walk 15 minutes. Some believe that you can walk three times a day for 20 minutes a time and achieve the same or better effect than you get if you walk once for an hour at a time.
According to exercise scientists it takes the same amount of energy to walk a mile as it does to run a mile. So, assuming that your jog speed is twice as fast as your walk speed you'll end up going the same distance and burning the same amount of energy. However, during your jog your heart rate will no doubt be higher and you will receive more of a cardiovascular training effect, the down side is that your joints may catch hell from the pounding.
I've heard, that fast paced walk is better than jogging. However, jogging improves your cardiovascular health, because the heart rate gets a lot higher compared to walking.
But if you're trying to lose weight, make sure your heart rate is in the fat burning zone (whether you're walking or jogging), which depending on your age is between 120-135 bmp. You can find you personal fat burning zone on the web ( link below) , by using your age, weight and resting heart rate. http://www.seekwellness.com/fitness/fat_...
which everyone takes you the longest to get there..
hi, im an exercise science major- from my knowledge- walking burns fat, jogging/running burns carbs..
Lazy walk is useless, only brisk walking will give freshness and it reduces weight. Jogging is also very good because energy is produced and you breathe fresh air while you go for jogging at early morning. To know more about health tips just visit the link below.http://www.healthylivingforeveryone.us/p...
http://www.yoga-for-health.biz/exercise....
Jogging, no doubt, even if its the same distance. You will get the cardo effects plus your body is still reved up after a jog and continues to work at a higher metabolism even after you take your last step.
jog for 30 minutes-- i lost 25 pubnds this way

Jelly belly,help?

I`ve started eating healthy to lose weight and i`ve dropped a dress size but still have a spare tyre and jelly belly, what exercises will help,is it only sit ups?I can only ever manage about 10 before i`m ready to pass out with the pain!and i cant even do them properly!!
Answer:
Sit up won't do anything, you need to lower your body fat levels.Get your body-fat levels measured. You can buy handheld devices or scales that will do this for you, or most supermarket scales now check body-fat.To lose body-fat exercise regularly and start calorie counting. Work out your BMR and try to eat about 500 calories a day less than this.Running is one of the best ways to lose weight, cycling, swimming, rowing are also very good.Don't try to lose weight too quickly, 2 pounds a week maximum. As for abs exercises, crunches are a waste of time, they exercise your hips primarily, and your abs only slightly. Sprinting and fast swimming are excellent for working out your abs because your abs have to work hard to stop your torso from rotating (exactly what they are designed to do). If you don't believe me try it, do 5 x 100 metre sprints while holding your abs in.
Yeah I hate sit-ups. You need to invest in an ab lounge. Your able to do your sit-ups(works the upper stomach) and crunches(works the lower stomach) a lot more comfortably. And it's also easier to work on your obliques(sides of your stomach). They usually run from $150-200.
Well, I lost about 40 pounds of doing crunches. But it took me like 6 months. I also exercise about 1 hour 15 minutes each day and drink lots of water and am on a diet plan. Well, I suggest do about 100 crunches to start out. Also, drink lots of water and stay away from sweets, soft drinks. Eat a lot of lean meat, yogurt and green beans. Also for breakfast, make eggs with cheese. That helps your metabolism speed up. (You can also have one day a week that you can pig out, not too much though, and then after that, start on your diet and exercise again!)

Jack Liliane juicer???

got it for my birthday and love it i get my 3 fruits and 5 veggies a day...but my dad recently said that its not helping because im not getting the fiber i need...so what do you guys think...is it doing more damage than help...usually i do it in the morning witch is about 2 full glasses in all and usually ill eat carrots,celery,or grapes throught the day and usually thats it unless i eat a salad for dinner....so what do you guys think%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;
Answer:
Be careful because drinking excessive amounts of pure juices can give you the diarrhea. However, judging by your answer, two glasses of juice will not set you off. As a whole, fresh juices are not bad for you and you reap the benefits of not drinking preservatives or high fructose corn syrup.
You may want to supplement your diet with whole grains like bulgur, couscous, barley, and 100% whole wheat breads and pastas or stoneground breads. Most nutritionists recommend getting 25-35 mgs of fiber daily.
If your using the juicer correctly there must be some pulp from the fruit and fiber can come from that plus I am sure you have some wheat bread on occasion for fiber. As long as you are 'regular' your getting enough fiber.
Juicing is great, but its not a replacement for eating the fruits and veggies. You are missing the fiber which is important for proper digestion and also helps with portion control. Juicing however, can help you get those vitamins in without having to resort to synthetic vitamin pills that have never been proven to help anyone. I would recommend juicing, but also you should try to eat your veggies as well.
Sounds like you have been getting plenty of fiber. Fiber helps keep your intestinal tract healthy and reduces cholesterol but getting it out of your systems. I think the best guage to whether you are in trouble is if you are incotinent (having Hershey squirts). The fresh vegetables take care of that though.
If u r on a weight reduction diet., or want 2 reduce pounds., instead of hving juices., eat lots n lots of fruits %26 veggies..
D most imp., thing is do not cut short on ur calories otherwise which ll hamper ur body's involuntary functions as well.....
So., with appropriate calories., supplement ur diet with veggies like: Carrots., cabbage., radish., celery or ny other salad vegetable..
Fruits %26 Veggies to be avoided: Potatoes., Sweet potatoes., colocasia., banana., mango., lichi., grapes., custard apple., So happy %26 healthy Dieting%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;

I've been on that Subway Diet for over a year and all I got from it is a big butt, what did I do wrong?

Answer:
Is your butt fat or muscle? If you're doing a workout that builds muscle back there, it could look bigger. If it's fat, then check out your sandwiches, white bread? cheese? mayo? lots of veggies? Any of those can affect your butt.
did you use mayo?if so, there's your problem.

Ive stopped smoking and became addicted to crisps?

what can i do im addicted to cheesy deretos.
Answer:
Congrats on giving up smoking I gave up a few months ago and it is hard. i substuted a ciggy for chewing gum and mints as I thought less fattening however i made that many trips to toilet as did not realise the mints had laxatives in them lol.
Try and find a crisp low in fat/salt other wise you will gain weight.
I also used Nicarette gum to take away craving of ciggy this helped no end and didnt snack.
Good luck deretos are nice lol
Well it's healthier than the smoking. if you have to do one, stick with the one you got.
Wean yourself off them buy eating Wotsits, then after Wotsits you can begin eating harmless cardboard. The taste is very similar.
For the time being i am guessing being addicted to doritos is way better then being addicted to smoking, i'm sure it will only be a temporary addiction and no where near as harming. Do be careful though, maybe try snacking on grapes or something healthy?
Ive given up too and im addicted to food, any food, ive put 16lb on in 4 months.
Hahaha, I love Doritos! Anyways... When people stop an addiction they've had, they always become addicted to something else. Addiction is more of a personality than an actual ingrediant (despite what they think about nicotine).Congrats on quitting though. My advice, is quit doritos like you quit smoking and find something else to get addicted to thats better.
Go with it at the moment. Once you have got rid of all the nicotene in your body you will naturally stop craving the snacks
It seems to me that you change one habit for another, I think that maybe you took the decision of quiting smoking but you are not so sure about it, I mean that you are not completely committed to quit and you substitute the cigarettes to crisps. I don't think that they can do you much harm maybe you could gain so weight but eventually if you don't internalize the reasons why you should not smoke again you could smoke again. I'm telling you this because that happened to me. After 8 years of smoking I quit and I only spent 1 year without smoking. Now I've done it again and I think for good I quit ! I have more than one year without smoking and I don't think I could fall again, but the difference this time is my internal attitude. You can do it!
It's very common to substitute one addiction for another. The problem with smoking is you have to conquer both the physiological addiction and the psychological addiction. You are probably over the physiological side of it now so work on the psychological side and get rid of the crisp, unless you want to be really fat that is. Consider your trigger points. What sparks of the need to snack? You will probably find there are particular times of day, situations or even sounds which you associate with smoking and now with cheesy doritos. That triggers the psychological need. Once you know what those are you can either avoid them, or find a less destructive activity to indulge in.Good luck, but remember the crisp addiction, though unhealthy, is less unhealthy, cheaper and doesn't damage anybody elses health.
Well done m8, good lad u will feel the benefit in time to come. Just dont be tempted to start again.
When I quit smoking I was the same way and so was my hubby. Most smokers have an oral fixation, we just have this thing about putting stuff in our mouths. Make an effort to replace the Doritos with a healthy snack. I can't stress the importance of exercising enough. Working out does wonders for getting you back on track to good health and it's a much better habit than bad snacking. Good luck!
It certainly is healthier than smoking however just keep working on and you should be golden
Congratulations for quitting smoking. You need to find another thing to snack on instead of Doritos. Something healthy like fruit or veggies.

I've only abused laxatives tiwce...?

is that still bad?
Answer:
I have used laxatives for the past 10 years. They are safe. Use them only in moderation, dont use on a daily basis. I only use laxitive 2-3 times/ month for weight loss and it does work.
You're housemates would think once was more than abuse!
It feels pretty bad, right?
yeah don't do it again!!. It is bad for you and with laxatives you get diarrhea and can mess up you electrolytes
use this..it si safe.....My sister and I have been using this cleansing technology for about six months....I love it soo much...I wil use it for the rest of my life:)....the first time I did it, I lost 13 pounds in 9 days!!....check out this website:)鈥?.w w w . gocleanse. com/colin
don't over use laxativs too much or else your body will get used to it and you know what happens then.
I don't think twice was enough. In a few hours, it's a new month. Start it off right by abusing them again. Toilet paper makers everywhere will love you!!

I've never really worked out before, what can I do to lose fat in two weeks?

I'm not at all athletic, I can't run far or fast at all. I'm fourteen years old by the way. What can I do so I actually lose fat in two weeks? I know that you need to do cardio to lose fat, so what should I do %26 how much?I'm not fat, but I AM chubby %26 really want to lose fat all over for my spring break trip. Honest Answers please? Thanks.
Answer:
There's no such thing as a "miracle" weight loss tool. Nothing will help you shed more than 1-2 lbs of fat a week. Anything else you lose will be water weight.
Anyhow, you need to eat healthier and excercise. How much excercise depends upon how much it's physically possible for you to do. Can't do more than 10 min. of walking? That's fine to start with. Can do more than an hour? That's what you have to do.
Obviously, you've never picked up a medical book, either.
Excessive/sudden weightloss over short periods of time is a terrible, terrible thing. In no way are you going to lose more than 5 pounds in 2 weeks. That is the safe route. No diets.
No fad diets.
No diet pills.Simply:
eat less.
move around more.
Practice yoga.
contact 1-800-JESUS phone lines may be busy.
try the exercises by jorge cruise. they are easy, but they do help to burn the fat. i love them.
Ummm too sixx...
noo...I lost 5 pounds in 9 days.Welll I did do a lot of excessing... with that zumba dvd thing..
just go to Zumba.com and eat a lot more healthierLike that special K diet
you need to watch what you eat and lay off the pop/soda and refined white flour foods like pasta and potatoes..portion control is a big deal when trying to lose weight. Exercize will not work alone trust me. Walk a mile every other day..or 24 mins. 3 times a week..Good luck and I hope this helped
First of all, you would need to look at what you are eating. Almost everytime, the culprit is the foods you eat. Finding a good nutritional program will help you to cut out the excessive fat and carbs that most Americans eat which makes them heavy. Secondly, you need to use more calories than you are putting into your body. It's physics really. If you are willing to spend about $80 one time, the following source will help you to lose weight pretty fast. You need to be more active in order to lose the weight you want. The program is called, Hip Hop Abs. It will teach you to dance while losing the weight and body fat as well as toning you up. The music is Hip Hop but you need some good music to keep you going during workout. I hope this helps you.

I've lost about 50 pounds this past year and now i notice i get cold a lot easier...?

I feel cold most of the time. Does this mean I'm lacking certain nutrients? I also noticed my fingernails will get a little blue after I run. Is my circulation messed up?
Answer:
haha the same thing happened to me. The problem with me is that my hands were skinny to start with. To add to that, I play a lot of tennis. Since the summer, my fingers have gone cold even though I was in warm weather. I asked my doctor and he said that eating healthier forms of fats is good since fat is able to maintain heat within our bodies. So my suggestion to you is either wear gloves while you run or/and eat healthy meals w/ healthy fats.
you should ask a doctor, but if you're underweight you will certainely feel really cold so you should also check if you're underweight because it might be the problem.
Do you know why whales and seals have a fatty layer under their skin? Its insulation. No, you circulation isn't messed up, no, you're probably not missing nutrients... You've simply joined the land of the freezing thin.Hopefully, you're at a healthy weight, and aren't too skinny... Other than that...Congratulations on loosing that weight!
yes you could have vB 3 deficiency(that's what helps with circulation)...start taking vitamins, they don't have to be expensive just go to the grocery store and get something to help you balance out your body. being cold all the time...i would ask your doctor about that it could be something bigger than nutrient problems
well good luck!
You might be low in Iron.

I've lost 55 pounds going from 210(30%BF) to 160 lbs(10%BF) in 1 1/2 yr. Anyway I can lose the excess skin and

stretch marks if I keep toning my body?
Answer:
Stretch marks do not go away unless you have them surgically removed, if you start your work out routine with some weight lifting regardless if you are male or female, this will get you to where you want to be. Weights are great for toning the body, you do not have to be muscular...Tip: Use a bronzer on your body or tan (self-tanners neutrogena), this helps quite a bit with the appearence of stretch marks. Trust me on that oneBTW-Congratulations!!!
The only way I know that's possible is surgically. But at least you're healthy now. Congrats on losing the weight, it's not easy.
It depends on your age really. The younger you are when you lose a massive amount of weight, the easier it is for skin to tighten up on it's own. If you're not lifting weights, I suggest you start and see how much you can tone up that way. If you are older, then plastic surgery is an option although weight lifting will help to some degree.Grats on the weight loss!

Ive lost 3kgs in 4 days.. the healthy way ! im 16.?

hey yall.. i just thought id tell somone that i lost 3kgs in 4 days, i started my diet 4 days ago...i ate 3 meals a day, just ate things that were low GI , for breakky i have grapefruit juice, freshly squeezed and 2 kiwi fruits, then 20 mins later i either have some museli with skim milk, or toast.. wholemeal bread... with cheese. for lunch its just a salad with tuna, and for dinner its chicken/tuna.. with some vegetables.. (raw!) dont cook ur vegies!!bad bad... dinner is supposed to be the lightest meal. and i exercised.. i do about 30kms on the exercisebike.. takes me 25 mins, and that burns 500 cals i think, or atleast thats wat the machine says on the bike.. and more.. just wanna no ur thoughts..
Answer:
Congratulations!! That's a nice rutine.
Congrats :) well done, but remember, at 16, your metabolism is very high. You probably won't be able to pull off the same results when you are 25.
To eat that like all the time is quite boring, wouldn't it be ? It is good to have some breaks from such routine. Like weekends - you can pig out !
Id say be careful. 3kg in 4 days is worrying. A healthy weight loss is about 1kg a week. Trust me I know.....Ive suffered from an eating disorder for 12years having just started out by eating healthily at the age of 16 and exercising.
If you are doing it for the right reasons and know how to stop when neccessary then well done and good luck....just please be mindful of why you are doing it.
Dont forget the carbs. They should make up the biggest part of your diet....despite what the magazines say.
All the best. x
Do you wanna live long? I asked because you are eating healthy at a very young age %26 i'd like to congratulate you for doing such things.Do you have any goals(like you wanna slim down or don't want to get any illness) for doing these things? Having goals would take you to the right direction %26 keep you focused. You are taking quite a disciplined approach when it comes to eating food %26 if you don't have concrete, specific goals it would be hard to sustain the very good thing that you're doing now.I'd like to add that watching the calories of the foods that you eat would also be beneficial. I think you're already doing this UNCONSCIOUSLY, %26 that's good. You can't go wrong with herbs, fruits %26 veggies, milk, eggs, fish, beef, chicken. Being young, you still have the "luxury %26 privilege" of eating meat, beacuse you need their proteins for growth. Use healthy oils like coconut, soya, olive, corn oil. Avoid junk foods, fried, oily, spicy, salty foods.Probably, the reason why you lost that much is because you have a high body metabolism, aside from the fact that you eat healthy %26 do exercise. If you could maintain these--- eating health, doing exercise(which speeds up body metabolism)-- ican guarantee you that you won't easily get fat when get more mature %26 you'll leave longer-- granting you also avoid unhealthy habits like smoking, drinking alcohol, drugs in the future.Again, I commend you for being disciplined %26 health-conscious. Undoubtedly %26 honestly, you are just one of the few like such. Remember, goals %26 discipline will take you where you want to go %26 who you wanna be.Keep up the good work!

I've had a cold for about 3 weeks.. I really miss working out. Is it a horrible Idea to start running?

It's just been congestion and in the morning sore throat. The dizziness and all other symptoms are gone.... Can I get back into my workout groove or should i stay and rest until fully recovered?
Answer:
Yes, you should be able to be active again but take it easy and if you begin to feel bad, stop immediately and go home. I don't think you should run, but you can definitely take a nice long power walk. You've had alot of down time and will need to work back up carefully.
A walk in the sunlight will increase your vitamin D which will intern help your immune system. Walk first then after a few days run.
You should get better first. See site below for fastest way to get better.http://www.phifoundation.org/flu.html...

I've gained almost 20 pounds in 2 weeks....help!!!!!?

I am trying to lose weight -- I have been exercising regularly (about 4-5 times/week), watching what I eat, and the scale is going in the eintirely WRONG direction. I have no idea what is wrong. I had my thyroid tested this summer, and it was normal. I know 100% for a fact that I am not pregnant (I'm a virgin). Maybe some of it is muscle (like a pound or two), but I haven't been getting any "smaller", and it's just nearly impossible for a female to gain almost 20 pounds in 2 weeks of muscle. Water retention is possible, but 20 pounds -- that keeps increasing by the day for two weeks????? If it is water rentention, it's not "normal" water retention. I know I haven't consumed enough calories most days to even maintain my weight, let alone gain that that much!!! Any ideas? Suggestions???? I am at a loss. Please help!
Answer:
You need to go to your Doctor to find out what is happening. You seem to have a good understanding of what should be happening and obviously it is not as it should be.
I don't support you trying to treat the symptoms until you have been medically checked out. If you try any of the off the shelf products you may cause more problems than you have now.
It sounds like your metabolism has gone into reverse and is storing 'energy' instead of expending it. If this is the case you will need expert advice from your Doctor etc.
Good luck
See the doctor.
My family and I have been using the best cleansing technology...:)the first time I did it, I lost 16 pounds in 9 days:)...check out this site....w w w .gocleanse. com/colinIt will change your life:)
Water is weight. If you drink a gallon a day, you are gaining some hefty water. Water is 70% of your body. Otherwise, I don't know what you are doing wrong. Don't drink so water if you are.Can you please give us the foods you are eating too?
I lost 105 pounds in 6 months. Here is how I did it.
1. Every morning get up and walk for 45 minutes. You can start with less time, but you want to get up to 45 minutes, and it must be fast walk. You want your heart rate to go up. It must be in the morning, it kick starts your metabolism.
2. I cut out Red Meat, and fatty foods. Boneless skinnless chicken breast, baked, or grilled, rice and vegetables (steamed).
3. Eat half. Just eat half of what you normally eat. Put 1/2 on your plate, and put the rest away. Cook less. When you go to fast food, get salads only. Or grilled chicken. No fries, only diet soda. Or water. It will work, once you get into a routine, you will get hooked on the results, and you will keep the routine. It has been over a year for me. Also start counting your calories. Write them down. You would be amazed as to how much more aware you are of your caloric intake, if you actually write it down. We recently discovered a site that offers a great program that counts calories, as well as keeps track of everything. It allows multiple users, so everyone in the family can keep track. They offer a free 7 day trial, and so far I am very impressed with the product. Try the 7 days and see. It allows you to add the exercise that you do during the day, which increases the amount of calories you can take in. Very Cool!!
http://www.calorieking.comA sight with some really cool diet calculators and interesting calorie counting calculators is here. Check it out.
http://www.caloriesperhour.com/...Check out my before and after pic at my yahoo 360 page
http://profiles.yahoo.com/gorillamyke...Stay motivated, and get up and walk every day. I seriously lost all my weight starting off my day on my walk. Good LUCK!
Losing weight is a simple equation: if you burn more calories than you eat, the weight will come off. Start off by estimating how many calories you burn each day using the calorie calculator http://straighthealth.com/pages/tools/ca... This will give you an idea of how many calories to eat. Healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds per week. To lose 1 pound per week you need to create a calorie deficit (burn more than you eat) of 500 calories per day. To lose 2 pounds a week, you have to double the deficit to 1000 calories per day. You can achieve this by eating less, exercising more or a combination of both. I've been working out for two months and i haven't seen a change?

i am trying to lose my fat and to build just a little muscle. well i'm not fat it's jsut that i don't want any excess skin on me, so i've been trying to lose it . so far i've been running for like 20 min. doing cardio, and sit ups and crunches. i haven't seen a change yet. well i want to know am i suppoed to see a change, is it to early..or am i just doing it wrong?.........
Answer:
Are you watching your calories and getting enough carbs and protein? People that tell you to avoid carbs are full of it. Your body needs carbs if you want your work out to be effective. Keep within 1600-1800 calories a day. Cut out mayo, junk foods, and drink skim milk and lots of water . Make those calories count!
it's not just excersize, you also need to eat heathly or you will not see a change
Try a calorie counter watch.
When you can see the numbers it makes a huge difference
You may just need a new way of looking at it.You take 3,500 plus your intake..Normal is 1,200 when on a diet.So you have to burn 4,700 a day to burn one pound. Its really easy to do when you can see your goal in numbers. You find yourself shaking your bootie to some music while cooking dinner or waving your arms while watching tv to make sure your numbers are still counting. When you can see what it takes to make your number goal you will have a better idea of what it takes to loose a pounds. And it makes everything seem so easy. You can pick up an inexpensive one off an online auction or a sports store.Good Luck
how often are you running. consistency is key. so is diet. are you eating junk and then running 20 mins? and to be honest 20 mins is really the MINIMUM cardio you can do. you shoudl do more. also, you dont want excess SKIN??? if you're skinny, dont start obsessing about your weight. you prob look fine.
My best advise is to try and run more, but it is way to early Hun, wait at least 6months and I guarantee you will have good results if you are keeping your calorie intake at a normal level.
Most people don't see the different by themselves . The best way is to measure your body and see how many cm did you lose try old cloth. reshaping is different than losing weight
the same thing is happening to me. i haven't seen a change yet, but something that will help is eat healthier and keep doing what your doing. maybe get involved in something like karate or dancing. that will really help. trust me. hope this helps!~*mary*~

I've been reading up on a new diet/skin pill called Lipovox. Has anyone taken this?I'm looking for feedback

Answer:
Don't take it!!!There is no such thing as a miracle diet pill. You can save you're monney with a good diet %26 exercise.

I've been on Atkins for about 3 weeks.. and I've lost about 20 pounds..?

..and I just ate a whole bunch of bread! Right when I was starting to incorporate more carbs slowly.. Is this going to mess up the whole process and make me have to start over? Or should I just keep going with the small regular increments?
Answer:
it's really hard to resitrict thoses yummy carbs ain't it???just keep going..and hey!..comgrats on the suscess so far!!!..it's not easy!
The Atkins diet is a terrible diet. You need carbs in ur diet, the complex one's not the simple ones. A just protein diet is terrible and can really mess your long term body and health up. My suggestion is stop that diet... and make a lifestyle change to eat better (ex. fish, baked chicken, little red meat, whole wheat, whole grain things, little simple carbs, more complex carbs, and lots and lots and lots of legumes (sp?) and dark green leafy vegtables... oh and fruit twice a day).... and don't forget to exercise. Without both, the weight loss will be ineffective and ur weight will yo-yo.
Just keep going it shouldn't hurt. You know what else you can do that I'm a big fan of, the tuna diet. If you do end up gaining a few lbs. then you can do the tuna diet on the weekend to loose those extra lbs. you gained. Eat tuna 6 times, 6 small meals, all the fruits and veggies you want and water. You can do this diet for up to 3 days because more will deprive you of proteins etc. So you can't do it that long but it works to lose a few + lbs. You can also drink a lot of water.
No, just don't let that small "slip up" make you lose your momentum. Just resume your diet as usual. Good job thus far. Keep it up!
You don't have to start all over. Starting tomorrow, just continue where you left off before you ate the bread. One small set-back shouldn't really have any effect on your diet.
(good job by the way)
With any diet, just listen to your body. Its OK to give in, in moderation, to cravings. Your body usually tells you what it needs, which is why we crave things.... like ice cream, our body says "hey I want calcium"! (or dairy)good luck yo you!
I have to second that. Atkins is a terrible diet. An average adult needs at 250g of carbs a day and Atkins tells you to eat only a tenth of that!!!Anytime you lose more than 2 pounds/week you're losing muscle mass which fuels your metabolism. The carbs you eat turn into sugar that fuels those muscles to work which is why you need the carbs.I suggest getting off the diet by slowly getting your consumption back up to 250g carbs per day and incorporating exercise. Coming off of an Atkins mindset, it may help you feel better to eat those carbs only during the morning while you have all day to burn them off- but you definitely need them. What you NEED to monitor is your fat intake.Sign up for Sparkpeople.com and they will give you a diet plan that incorporates calorie restricting inconjunction with your lifestyle. It is a very wholistic approah and I think that if you have the patience to stick with Atkins, you will do very well at meeting your goals through Sparkpeople.Good luck!

I've been lookin into certain diet pills. can anyone recommend a good over the counter diet pill?

Answer:
It is best to always consult your physician before taking any diet pills. If this is not within your budget then research for supplements that are made from natural ingredients and those that gives proper information of the benefits that you can get from such supplement, where also states all information that pertains to the product. Without this type of information indicates that the supplement may be harmful.
none of them work, stop eating junk, cut out the carbs and eat lots of raw fruit, good green and yellow veggies, and some low fat dairy, and good lean chicken breast and fish broiled or baked.
lots of water
a diet high in fresh fruit and veggies, lean protein and complex whole grains
adding activity to your daily routine - walking, working out, swimming, dancing, yoga, whatever. a diet pill can't keep you skinny forever. but a healthier choice every now and again will.
i would suggest not to use diet pills at all..they have adverse side effects. u should try to go on a regular diet..i mean i myself lost 45 lbs..
Over the counter I havent tried myself, only because I've watched horrible things happen to friends who tried chemical pills (addiction, illness, loss of large amounts of money... etc). However!! I have personally had wonderful success using various herbal and natural methods.A huge help: APPLE CIDER VINEGAR pills. They are 100% natural, many dieticians even use it to cook with but personally I'd rather take the pill (a lot less smelly and goes down quicker lol). They work by speeding up your metabolism and breaking down anything you eat. The best part - its really hard to do any harm with them, which is good if you get a little obsessive with your weight loss (which I have! lol). You should be able to find these anywhere herbal supplements are sold (including many grocery stores :)).Also in any general herbal section (meaning you dont have to go to a special herbal shop or anything) are a selection of herbal pills that promote energy, increase metabolism and have some cleansing ingredients (basically some sort of herbal laxative lol). I forget the pills I would take.. I've stopped using them because I'm pregnant and its been over 6 months since I used them! BUT they werent anything too fancy, something I got at the grocery store but they did help a lot too.I've also heard about people having results from Ginger and if you're working out Fish Oils can really help cut fat, but those I can't give you a real opinion on. Might be worth a try tho :)^^ As for the previous response, I too would agree that eating a lot of fresh food, no matter what it is is very important. I wouldnt say that none of the pills work cuz I havent tried them all lol - but one thing I would add to her response is to exercise. You could eat a couple big macs a day if you worked out enough to burn it all off!! (NOT recommending this, but just exaggerating so that you get the point :)).
Yes, I am taking this product and it really works and its awesome, Reduces appetite, Boosts Metabolism, Increases Energy, Increases Stamina, and its all natural and whats so nice of this product you only take one daily which is more convenient. You might want to even check the website and see it, and even listen to the live testimonials. www.anz.xtremehealthformulas.c...

I've been doing push-ups lately, and I want to know if it's better to do them everyday or skip a day?

In other words should I do one hundred everyday or do them every other day?
Answer:
I suggest doing push ups everyday. I have my clients perform as many as they can each day. The only reason not to do them is if it becomes boring and you need a break. They will only make your entire body stronger.
every day
do them for 3 days then have a day off. this will give your body a break and make the ones you do more effective!!
every other day to let the muscles you've just built up rest and then re-build them more the next day.
100 everyday
It's okay to do them everyday as long as you have a nutritious diet.
it is better to do it every other day at first and then every day after a month or 2.
everyday but maybe not as much if your new at it try 50 seee how it goes
Everyday and try to increase it by 10% every week.
In the army - Everyday ! Except Sunday the day of rest !
100 isn't that much so you can do that everyday. If you are doing a lot then you can still do them everyday, but vary the intensity. For example one week could look like this: do like 500 push-ups on Monday, back down the intensity on Tuesday and do like 200, on Wednesday do like 300, Thursday do 400, Friday 100, Saturday 500, Sunday 50. It depends how you feel.

Ive been doing cardio and working out religiously for,,,?

2 weeks straight. For my hour lunch i walk hills and at night i do 20 minutes cardio on the stairclimber. Every day is a different workout for muscle groups after my cardio....BUT..the scale hasnt moved. Ive been eating healthy too...what's going on???
Answer:
Assuming that when you way that you are eating healthy you mean that you are staying on a reduced calorie diet, the problem may indeed be that you are eating too FEW calories. When your body's caloric deficit becomes too great, your body goes into starvation mode which triggers fat storage and stops your body from losing weight. You shouldn't be cutting your caloric intake too far below what your body needs. You should focus on taking in about 1500 calories over the course of five meals in a day. By eating every 2.5-3 hours, you keep your body's metabolism pumping and don't give your body an opportunity to think it is starving. That amount of calories with the amount of physical activity that you are doing should be fine. Also, try to avoid simple sugars for the time being (including not overdoing it on fruit...especially in the evening). These sugars can actually inhibit fat loss in the body. Good luck and don't quit. It will come off soon enough.
you may have a very slow metabolism.. or a thyroid problem. check with ur doctor
:)
the average body burns between 1800-2300 calories / day, your 20 mins of cardio probably add 200-300 to that so you are burning say 2600 a day total depending on diet you may be consuming somewhere between 2000-3000 a day. Assume it is 2200 you are losing 400 calories / day, there are about 3600 calories in 1 lb so every 9 days if you don't cheat you will lose around 1 lb, this will however vary drastically with your diet.
Your gaining muscle...muscle weights more than fat. Don't judge it by the scale..you judge it by tone and inches.Use a tape measureYou could also try a calorie counter you may not being burning enough calories after your intake to make a difference.
Do NOT watch the scale religiously. Experts will suggest once a week MAX, and make sure you are weighing yourself the same time each week (as in Sunday morning). Weigh yourself in the morning, after going to the bathroom, before eating or drinking anything. Weight varies throughout the day.Besides, the scale weights body weight in general - not fat. You're probably gaining muscle which weighs more than fat. A better way to tell if you are slimming down - the fit of your clothes. Eating healthy, drinking plenty of water, and exercise - if its not working, try decreasing the amount you eat. You need to burn more calories than you consume. Make sure you are only eating when you are hungry (dont skip meals though, just stop snacking when you dont need the calories), and only eat until you are satisfied.
Even though you are eating healthy you may be taking in more calories than you are burning.
The other thing is that you could be putting on muscle which weighs more than fat, but takes up less space.
It will normally take about 6 weeks to see a difference, and you'll notice it more in how your clothes fit.
There are medical problems that make it hard to loose weight, keep trying and if you don't see any results after a couple of months see your doctor.
you have to be burning more than your consuming. you're not eating more than usual because your working out are you? some things to consider: you can't depend on the scale. you could be losing fat and gaining muscle and muscle weighs more. the way your clothes fit you is probably a better way to tell. your body doesn't really get going until after 15 or 20 minutes. it will help but take longer. do it for 30 or 45 to see faster results. It's best to do it all at once because you get your heart pumping and keep it pumping: burn more.
You've only been doing it for two weeks. What were you expecting?Give it a couple of months. Or a year. These things take time, effort, and discipline.

I've always been skinny...?

I'm almost 34 and I've never weighed more than 160 lbs...i'm 5'11" and I want to gain weight, I've tried everthing from shakes to fatty foods, nothing seems to work. any advice?
Answer:
Its in your genes which you inherited. You cannot change that.Since you have inherited genes of thin and skinny frame either from your parents or grandparents, however hard you try you can never accumulate enough fat on your frame. And by the way, why are you so bothered about being skinny.Do you know how many people around the world are trying to get skinny. Why? because skinny people are at less risk of contracting disease like,Heart attack,Diabetic,High BP and a plethora of others. In case you are otherwise physically fit apart from cosmetic value, you must congratulate your self for being skinny.Skinny and lean people also age very slowly. You will maintain your looks when your buddies would look old.So be happy about the way you are.
Buddy up with a fat friend and go halfsies on a fat transplant surgery.
most of us have the exact opposite problem. be happy with how you are. unless you are working out like crazy, you will just be adding fat weight, which isn't healthy for you.
YOU MIGHT HAVE A METABOLISM THAT YOU WILL NOT GAIN WEIGHT,IF YOU WANT TO GAIN,THEN CONSULT A NUTRITIONISTS.
I was the same way until I started keeping track of what I was eating and got my daily calories up to 5000 a day where I ate most of my carbs in the morning and more protein rich food later in the day.....managed to put some good weight on too
Skinny... fat foods are not the answer. Using your head is, eat healthy and enjoy good health at your natural weight.
How about weightlifting...you would be gaining weight and bulking up. It would be a healthier way to gain weight than to always be eating fatty, greasy foods.
be glad you are trim
everyones metabolism is different. you may not like being skinny but if u are healthy thats just how your body is. some people dont like the way they are because they are stuck with what they were given. some people would cut off their own limbs to have what you have, but you hate it. the point is be thankful for what you are given in life. dont eat yourself into a sugar shock. as long as you eat healthy, exercise daily, and keep your mind and body strong, the rest is just your body taking its course, good luck! :]
The simple answer is: it's all about calories. To gain weight you have to consume more calories than you burn. Ideally, of course, you want these to be good quality calories (in other words not all fat). Try keeping a diary for a week or so in which you record EVERYTHING you eat as well as how much you exercise. Find out how many calories you're consuming each day, how many grams of protein, carbohydrates and fat, and how long and how intensely you're exercising. Then you'll know your baseline. You can start adding additional calories to your daily diet. Most recommend adding about 500 additional calories per day. It takes 3500 calories to gain an additional pound of body weight. Also you should eat 6-8 small meals a day, rather than 2 or 3 bigger ones.Hope this helps.

Iv been working out every night for a month, and im no bigger, why?i work out hard?

Answer:
Don't work out every night-- work out 3x a week so you get time to recuperate and for the body to repair any damage that could be done.
I'm assuming as in "bigger" you mean you are trying to put on muscle. You are working out too much. Your muscles actually grow when you are resting. You need at least 1 day off when you work a specific body part. For example, if you do an arms workout on monday, then don't do arms on tuesday. Working out 3-4 (maybe 5) times a week is enough. Also, don't forget cardio! It's important to your overall health. Also, it depends on how you are working out. If you are doing heavy weights, then do 3-4 sets of 10-15 reps. Always wait one minute inbetween each set for your muscles to repair and grow. That is very important. If you are doing lower weights but high reptitions (25 or so), then you are working muscle endurance and not actually building muscle. You will be toning. So you'll want to do high weights and lower reps if you are looking to build muscle and get bigger.Furthermore, diet is also important. Ensure you are eating enough protien to help you muscles repair and grow. Eating chicken, fish or lean ground beef after a workout will help.

I'v been eatting 700 calories a day about 3 times a week. Is this safe???

Answer:
No, it is not safe. Eating too few calories will cause your body to shift its metabolism into starvation mode. When this happens, you body stores almost all calories consumed as fat. That's right, even though you only eat 700 calories, you store most of it as fat. Not only that, but your body breaks down muscle to use for energy. So the end result is less muscle, more fat. Most people want the opposite - more muscle, less fat. The way to achieve this is to feed your body often, like 4-5 times a day, and exercise, including both cardio (running, walking, biking) and resistance (weight training) . Incorporating both types of exercise into your life will help make your body a fat-burning machine.
NO 700 calories is WAY to little.
its not dangerous
boarder line but dont make a habbit of it and dont encrease the times a week you eat like that
its better than nothing but id try for 1200 calories a day so u dont slow your metabolism.
Um no. If you are otherwise healthy and active you should be eating at least 1500 a day everyday. Eating only three times a week is not going to help you lose wieght either since it causes your body to store every bit of what you eat to avoid starvation. The only weight you are losing is water weight.

It's shrinking... WHY???

i go gym and have workouts before i sleep... i just started to take protein shakes recently... but the funny thing is.. through all this time.. as long as i overwork my muscles, my muscles shrink and never grow bigger for like months.. why??
Answer:
you might be burning more calories than what you are taking in. Therefore-losing the muscle weight instead of gaining it.Try talking to the guy you buy it from. Maybe you should use a different brand or more of it....
u dont want to over work ur muscles first of all! just work them enough so that u can feel the muscle terring and reparring itself, thats how muscles get bigger. and take this $h!t up with a doctor or trainer
Don't workout before you go to sleep, muscles need rest.

It's said that old people shrink. I was 18 years old and I shrunk 2.5 inches in height. How is that possible?

Answer:
You measured wrong.
it is not. your crazy. sorry to tell you the truth. :p
The disks in your spine will dry out and get thinner.
Check with a doctor. Its not supposed to happen unless there is shrinkage in the discs.
you probaly werent mesured correctly the first time or second and you shrink when your 60 and 70 not 18 your just a teenager you dont shrink you probaly still growing
you have osteoporosis but your only 18 so i guess you were measured wrongly.
You need to see a doc about that. You're way too young to have that happen.

I dont think so
Yes, I think that it is realy harm full to eat tuna foods everyday.
I recommends vegetables and fruits.
recently they said that tuna cans have magnesium in them, so with that research i would say no, it's NOT safe. Limit it.
tuna is good for u but you need to eat other foods aswell lol
I think its safe but fish rich in Omega fatty 3 acids are better for your brain, like mackerel for example. Moreover why would anyone want to eat the same foods EVERYDAY. Live a little hon.
Try Sardines for a change.
I use PASTENE boneless and skinless in Olive Oil from Morocco.
yes dude tuna is very lean and high in protein tuna and chicken is bobybuilding fuel!
hell no...
well, no. its ok to eat from time to time but not everyday. it contains fats and carbs which leads to produce body fat.

It's really important i lose 25lbs by june 1, how can i make sure it happens?

Answer:
Well that is about 12 weeks away, so if you start today and stick to it, you actually have a very good chance at making this happen.First thing first. You need to get a rough idea how many calories your body needs to function. Type BMR calculator into a search engine and use it to figure out your basil metabolic rate. This will give you the amount of calories your body needs to function at its most basic level. Now, remember, your body needs energy (calories) to survive, but you also burn calories by doing everything from typing and digesting food to exercising. For a starting point, 1lb of fat is equivalent to 3500 calories. The only way to lose fat is to have your daily bodily caloric needs exceed the amount of calories that you take in (eat/drink). Theoretically, this would mean that your caloric intake needs to be about 1000 calories less than your daily expenditure in order to lose 2 pounds of fat per week (7000 total calories in a 7 day week). The Plan. The easiest way to lose 2 pounds per week is to cut your food intake by 500 calories a day and exercise about 45 minutes a day. Food plan. First, eat healthy. Stick to foods with whole grains, lean meats, fruit, vegetables, lean dairy, etc.. Stay away from high fat foods, sugary/caloric drinks, alcohol, etc. The healthier foods will help you feel more satisfied for fewer calories than the latter group of foods. Alcohol in particular is a diet killer because it is particularly easy to down 4-5 drinks at a bar without realizing that you probably just added 1000 calories into your daily caloric intake. Truth be told, all that your body cares about is the calorie need-intake ratio as far as weight loss/gain is concerned. However, you are much more likely to succeed if you feel satisfied and healthy. Plus, learning healthy eating habits helps the weight stay off past June 1st.Exercise. This is equally important. Aside from the weight loss benefits, there are a number of other physical/mental benefits associated with exercising. I think that you will find that exercise becomes a very rewarding part of your daily routine if done correctly. If you are not currently on an exercise plan, the first thing I would recommend you do is don't kill yourself to start. You can do 30-45 minutes of cardio in a number of ways. Walking on an incline is an easy way to start. You can build up speed/incline as you gain endurance. You want to strike a balance between getting a good workout in and not working yourself so hard that you don't want to do it again the next day. Overall, the key to this plan is dedication. There is no such thing as a miracle diet. Gimmick diets do more harm than good. Often times they simply teach you bad eating habits that severely decrease the likelihood that your weight loss will be long term. Congratulations for making the decision to get healthy, but you must remind yourself that you are starting a marathon and not a sprint. June 1st may be your goal to lose 25 pounds, but you should feel equally good about yourself if you only lost 15 or 20 by that date. Good luck!

Drink lots and lots of water, low fat milk and green tea. Then eat salads all the time, put some chicken or shrimp and a boiled egg in with it. That will give you protein and keep you from eating something heavy and fattening. Then if you're still hungry, eat an orange or some raw carrots. For breakfast, eat a piece of toast and some cereal. Good luck to you!!

It is easy... eat the right amount of calories and exercise 4 or 5 days a week for 30 minutes (no fooling around with crazy diets this is the only way... other than surgery).
eat a grape fruit or drink a glass of juice with no sugar after each meal . and take up jogging . grape fruit is a natural fat burner for athletes but you got to work out . also try weight lifting or aerobics along with jogging. just dont get discouraged and quit it really works
Looks like you've got plenty of time. That's 12 weeks, and if you concentrate on losing healthily, which is an average of 2 lbs a week, that's plenty of time. To do it:Exercise at least 30 minutes a day, 3-4 times a week--more cardio to lose more fat.Make sure you're eating healthy foods..whole grains, low fat dairy, lots of fruits and veggies, and lean meats and good fats (omega 3 fatty acids, like are found in fish, avocado, olive oil, and nuts). Make sure you're eating proper sized portions--get a bunch of Lean Cuisines of different varieties to see what your portion sizes should look like (added bonus, Lean Cuisines are REALLY tasty). If you hit a plateau (you stop losing weight), shake up your exercise routine by trying something different. When you go out--to the store, to work, whatever...park as far away from the door as possible, and use stairs (multiple flights, if possible) whenever you can. It helps shock your body into working a little harder, thus burning more calories, while only costing you a couple minutes more.Drink lots of fluids, especially water!!Cut out sugar as much as possible..an efficient way to do this is to cut sodas from your diet completely and substitute with juice diluted by half with water.Best tip to stay on track--make your changes gradually--ie, do your exercises faithfully for two weeks (reward yourself), cut out sodas for two weeks (reward yourself), then switch to all whole-grain breads and pastas for two weeks (reward yourself), then make sure you climb at least five flights of stairs at least three times a week in addition to your other exercise (reward yourself). The reason I say two weeks is it usually takes about two weeks to establish a new habit...once you've done it faithfully for two weeks, reward yourself with your favorite treat or activity and keep it up the next week when you work in a new habit! You can do this, no sweat. For more suggestions and info, go to www.sparkpeople.com -- it's totally free and all about healthy living. You can do it!!!:^)

It one starves themselves for about 2 weeks and does massive excercise how weight can they lose?

Drinks water
Answer:
The loss of one pound of fat equals 3500 calories (burned in exercise, or not consumed). You can do the math for how many calories it would take to burn (or not eat) for two weeks to lose a certain amount of weight.Unfortunately this kind of "crash diet" does not lose so much fat as both water and muscle mass. This creates feelings of exhaustion, mood disorders, electrolyte imbalance, and even collapse. Also since you lost fat and muscle more than fat, the weight will return immediately as soon as you begin to eat normally. The fastest you can safely lose weight is about 2 pounds per week. Any more than that and it's not fat you've lost.
I really hope that you're not seriously considering this sweetie :) Just like dogs are the new babies, curves are the new stick thighs
you could die!
alot? but not advisable
A lot because they'd probably drop dead and that's the best way to lose weight and never have it come back.It is unhealthy to lose more than 1-2 per week. It poses a major strain on your heart, kidneys, liver and other systems.
well i hope you will take vitamins, or have something other than water.and though one might lose weight, what will happen when they start eating again?
all of it because you run the risk of severley damaging your liver and kidneys and you could die. don't be stupid. eat healthy balanced meals and excersise in moderation to start. be regular and consistent. see a nutritionist and a trainer to help get started.
Probably lots, because you'll likely be dead. Instead of doing something so destructive to your body, why don't you go to healthquest.peoplesway.com and look at the priority one special. There is a man's and a woman's package. These products work together to make you healthier and to help you loose weight.
Good grief. Not much. When you starve your body, your body shuts down to protect itself. It will hold on to every bit of stored fat/calories to keep your vital organs from shutting down. Why do people try to do this? You won't be able to do "massive exercise." Your body will shut down. You will not be able to raise yourself out of bed, let alone run or lift weights.
very little progress will be made,..first of the body will think it is starving,.....and hold on to the fat6 small meals will stimulate the digestive process,..along with exercise will make the weight drop off.and get rid of bread, pasta, sodafruits, grains, nuts, and vegetables will be good for you,..and if you must eat meat very lean.
You would probably get seriously ill in the first four days. Most modern peoples bodies are not adapted to going without food for any long period of time. Also, when the body starves, you lose muscle first, THEN fat. You wouldn't be able to excercise.
you'd lose too much. after 3-5 days of starvation your body wouldn't be able to funcion (unless u have a lot of fat stores). actually, your body will start storing everything that is taken in b/c it is in starvation mode and will want to keep everything so it can try to function properly. this is dangerous and i highly recommend not doing it!
You may lose a lot, but as soon as you start eating again, it will come back...a reasonable diet and exercise is the best way to lose weight and to keep it off. Extremes never do good in the long run and can hurt you bad.
You might think you will lose alot but your body could go into starvation mode and store the fat so you don't use it, also this will make you very ill, as a nurse in a hospital we have alot of young girls in starving themselves taking up beds of seriously ill patients, not only is it selfish but dangerous also
You might be able to starve yourself for 2 weeks, but I don't think you'll be able to do massive exercise for 2 weeks as well. You'd be too weak. Stupid way to lose weight anyway. Don't even try it!!
Good Lord, i hope this is just a hypothetical questions, cause you would probably die
Why would you do something so stupid first of all? Second of all, i don't think you would have the energy to do massive exercise if you don't eat anything. Don't do it. You'll start looking like the the Olsen twins.
You won't make it...you will become so weak and so hungry that you will give in because your body cannot go that long without food. If by some miracle you do pull through though...better plan your funeral now.
You are most likely to die if you starve yourself for that long.Just cut the junk food and start to eat healthy food and exercise but dont overdo it to where you pass out.
Ok, this is a terrible idea, and here's why...if you "starve yourself" your metabolism is going to plummet. You may lose weight initially but soon enough your body's going to think it IS starving and hang on to any extra fat stores you have, so your weight loss will stall. On top of that, once you start eating normally again your body won't be used to the food due to the drop in your metabolism and you will most likely gain weight.I would suggest a healthy, well-balanced diet where you drink plenty of water (minimum of 48 oz), eat lots of fruits and veggies, lean proteins, whole grains and dairy. You'll keep your metabolism going, you'll be satisfied, and you'll lose weight.
Actually, it could back fire on you. My body goes into starvation mode very quickly. Meaning that when your body thinks it is starving it will store fat. I don't respond to it, at least not short term and long term could literally kill you. My advise would be to eat several low fat, low calorie meals a day to rev up your metabolism. Cut back on carbs and don't eat past 7:30 pm. Always eat breakfast. Exercise 6 days a week and add in strength training. There is a 3 day diet that I have used that works if you want to jump start your diet. You are allowed Diet soda or tea/coffee (no creamer) with artificial sweeter on this diet. DO NOT VARY OR SUBSTITUTE ANY FOOD ON THIS DIET. Salt %26 pepper may be used but no other seasonings. After 3 days of this diet, you can eat your normal foods BUT DO NOT OVEREAT (when I say normal I probably wouldn't be eating french fries %26 cheeseburgers). After 4 days of normal eating, start back on the 3 day diet. Remember, do not over eat on the 4 days off.How much you lose depends on how much you need to lose. When I did this I only had 10 pounds to lose so I only lost 3 pounds in the 3 days. However, I know 2 people who have lost 7 %26 10 pounds in the first 3 days but they had around 30 pounds total to lose. Remember this is a trick diet if you vary anything it probably won't work.DAY 1BREAKFAST
