Loseing weight?

hi iam a male 17 years old iam about 6 foot tall and iam 208 pounds and i want to lose some weight ive been walking lately everywhere i go ive been limiting my food portions not really eating any sweets and ive been working out not lifting weight just doing some cardio doing pushups situps streching is there any other ways to speed it up i was think doing some tae bo

you sound like your doing everything...the trick is sticking to it....drink more water because i read somewhere that diet sodas actually increase appitite and you dont want reg. soda, too much sugar.

Yes there is , drinking lots of water, because that seems to flush out the fat.
to tell you the truth there is no real way to speed up losing weight. it all depends on your body and ur matabolism. maybe if you do some more activities like track or swim it my help in burning fat and losing weight
stop drinking the pop.You are on the right track. Consistantly is the key.
Don't drink the pop! Drink more water instead, and make sure you are getting all the appropriate nutrients in the right quantities. How long are you doing cardio? Make sure you are at least going for 1/2 hour five days out of the week. Make sure your heart rate is near 65% of max. Take 220-age and multiply that number by .65 You can up your intensity, but do not go above 80% max.
Limiting your food portions could be slowing down your metabolism. Try spreading out small meals through the day. And..if you stop drinking pop, you will lose even more weight. Pop has empty calories and is very fattening. There is no nutritional value to pop. So eat right, small portions spread throughout the day, stop drinking pop (drink more water, exercise and stay fit.
If you are drinking mostly pop then you would want to cut back on the pop as it is full of sugar and nothing else - unless you are driking diet pop. Fruit juice is also high in sugar - it is better to eat the fruit. You sound like you are on the right track!
Hey man I was in the same boat about 1 1/2 months ago. I was 6'0 and 216 now I'm @198!!! I joined 24hr. fitness and hired a Personal Trainer. It was thebest $1000 of my life. I have a 2yr old son and another on the way, I needed to get into shape. Here is the best advise if you cannot afford a trainer.... STOP the soda!! drink nothing but water, you can buy flavor power to add to it if you don't like plain water. Eat 2 yogurts for breakfast. Keep your calories to less than 2000 a day. Try to keep it around 1800 if possible. It is hard at first to count, but after about 2 weeks it is VERY VERY easy. Don't eat fast food. Eat salads with fat free dressing. Have a cheat day once every 2 weeks to treat yourself. Do 30 min. of Cardo 4x a week. The BIKE is the best, keep your heart rate at about 150. Eat 5-6 small meals a day 250-350 cal. each. with one big meal 600 cal.
well there is your problem...stop that pop!...i used to do the same thing....you will be amazed how much pop makes a difference to your body...pop has loads of sugar and sugar ultimately turns to fat, so even though your exercising your just putting it right back on...once i started to drink mostly water and low calorie juices and stopped the pop i saw my work out results better....try it!!...
Limit the soda! Or even better switch to diet. It sucks but it definitely helps a good bit. Cardio is the best way to lose weight...running, ellipticals, bikes. A great way to help burn fat and firm up is to do lunges. I am in shape and they still give me one hell of a work out. I hold 5lb free weights and do two reps of 20. The first time you do them I recommend only doing two reps of 10 or you will be damn sore. Swimming is also a really great way to help lose weight. It is low impact, easy and fun. Tae bo is really great to do as well, it is a great mixture of cardio and toning. Personally, your weight isn't bad for being 6ft. I am 6ft 2in and weigh about 160 and a chick. Most of your weight is muscle too. Try to incorporate more weight training to convert that fat into muscle. Good luck! And keep it up.
If you don't drink water because it doesn't taste and you like soda for the taste, try the Crystal Light singles that you can dump in a bottle of water. They come in lots of flavors and have no calories. Eat lots of fruit and veggies!!!!
