Is whey protein any good for helping build muscle?


Answer:
Yes, just take about 30 grams of it after working out. Since that is when your muscles will need the protein to make repairs to your muscles.
It is excellent for building and repairing muscle. Because it is digested quickly, it goes to your muscles faster than any other protein. But don't over do it, your body can only absorb certain amount of proein a day, the rest gets stored as fat. Try drinking one scoop 30 mins before a workout. Adding it to a banana shake, will give you the carbs and protein you need for a longer workout.
Kelley is correct other than excess protein is urinated out rather than stored as fat! Whey is the best protein.
